    The Dual Master’s (MBA- MSc) Program in International Sports Management (ISM) is a joint program combining the MBA from XIM University, Bhubaneswar and the MSc degree from emlyon business school. It aims to give potential top-level managers the necessary skill sets to hold leading positions in sports and entertainment companies. Taking place in India and France, the Dual Master’s Program is a project-based and transdisciplinary program focusing on responsible leadership. Providing a global perspective of the sports and entertainment market dynamics, it is designed to help students gain core competencies to lead the change and overcome the sports business orthodoxy that has shaped the success of the past. This strong hands-on training program pays great attention to the development of personal and professional qualities to enable participants make a difference. In the program, learning experience is active and varied and it takes students adopt specific attitudes and behaviors, such as autonomy, curiosity, critical thinking, involvement, and commitment.











      Salient features of the program

      • DUAL DEGREE: M.B.A. / M. Sc

        Dual degree: MBA (XIM University) and MSc (emlyon business school).

        -The MSc degree is without Autorisation Provisioire de Séjour (APS) i.e. without Temporary Resident Permit in France.

        The program is the only one of its kind which enjoys the support of the Sports and Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha. XEBS is also a high-performance centre of excellence in sports management of the Odisha Government

      • Eligibility Criteria

        Holders of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field of study from a recognised Institute / University with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

        - A minimum of 180 ECTS credits or equivalent.

        - Candidates who do not have an English medium educational background would be required to submit their English proficiency scores during application (TOEIC or TOEFL or IELTS or Cambridge CPE or PTE)

      To apply, visit the XEBS website. On clicking the Apply Now option, you will be redirected to the program page of emlyon business school website. To access the application form, you have to create an account and then select the program – Bhubaneswar-Paris: International Sports Management (S10).

      Submit the form after filling it up and uploading mandatory documents which include passport, CV and proof of degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) along with transcripts (marksheets of all semesters). Management aptitude test and English proficiency test documents are not mandatory.

      After submission, the payment link will be shared with you on email and you will also receive the link for the digital test. Applicants who will be found eligible after review of their duly completed online application form and digital test will receive a notification from the Admission Board for an online interview. The results would be declared within 10 days of the interview.

      This is a two-year, full-time residential program (with hybrid mode delivery) spread over Bhubaneswar and Paris with four to six months of internships spread across India. Please refer to the program brochure for more information.

      Holders of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field of study from a recognised Institute / University with minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Having completed a minimum of 180 ECTS credits or equivalent.

      After duly submitting the application, paying the application fees of INR 2000 and successfully completing the digital test, candidates will receive a confirmation email. The applications would be first validated (all mandatory documents/transcripts have to be uploaded) and then also based on the performance of the digital tests, if shortlisted, candidates will get an invite for an online interview round over Zoom. Based on the performance in the interview, successful candidates will be offered admission.

      The session would start from July 2023. The exact date would be notified in the month of June 2023.

      Would hostel facilities be available at the Xavier campus in Bhubaneswar and what would be the charges for the same? Are they included in the tuition fees?

      The residential expenses (approximately INR 80,000/- per year, per person) are NOT included in the course fee and will have to be paid separately along with the first installment of the fee. The boarding expenses (to be paid as actuals) are separate and NOT part of the above expenses.

       

      There are no hostel facilities available for the Paris campus of emlyon business school. Candidates have to take care of their travel, visa and accommodation on their own and the cost for it is NOT included in the tuition fees. However, the international office of the school can provide assistance in terms of relevant information.

      The rankings for both emlyon business school and XIM University can give candidates the assurance on quality. At XEBS, we focus on employability and in imbibing the early maker spirit in all candidates to help them carve their own future. The Program does not guarantee 100% placement. But complete career advisory services will be provided to assist the students for their internships and final placements.

      All our students from the first batch have already received the best offers in terms of internship in their last leg of the program. Some of them are also working with the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha since XEBS is also a high-performance centre of excellence in sports management of the Odisha Government.

      No, it isn’t mandatory. You can submit it, if you have a valid score. A good score will improve the possibility of securing admission.

      No, Letters of Recommendations are optional documents. But if you have any please add it/them to your file.

      No, candidates do not need proficiency in French to be a part of the program. However, it will be taught to candidates as part of the curriculum.

      No, quality comes at a price and we appreciate candidates who understand the value of it.

      If you are admitted, we will ask you to confirm your enrolment by making payment of 60 percent of the tuition fees (after deducting any scholarship that may have been granted to you).

      Do we have instalment options for payment of tuition fees?
      Yes, 60 percent of the tuition fees would be paid at the time of acceptance of the admission offer and the rest 40 percent would have to be paid before the end of the second semester.

      Yes, we do have tie-up with SBI, HDFC and ICICI banks.
