XEBS Ahluwalia Centre of Excellence’s flagship event, SPORT IT is India’s first ever Sports & Innovation Festival. Celebrating Sports with Innovation, Inclusion & Entrepreneurship, this is not just an event but an experience that can change the way you perceive the world of sports.
A national-level annual event, the Centre of Excellence has successfully organised two editions of the event in association with the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha and Start-up Odisha.
A sports hackathon for young students and innovators, exhibition of sports start ups with pitching sessions with government and investors, panel discussions centered around sports, education and innovation have been some of the highlights of the event.
While the first edition was organised in Kalinga Stadium on the sidelines of the FIH Hockey Pro-League and was also graced by the Honourable Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, the second edition had new collaborations with the Tourism Department, Government of Odisha and FICCI.
The second edition, which took place on an exclusively curated virtual platform of FICCI, was based on the theme of ‘Sports, Tourism and Technology’, witnessed participation of over 30 start-ups, investors and industry experts from different parts of the country. The Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry was also an integral part of the event.
Sport IT' 2022
The second edition of SPORT IT 2022 was organized in collaboration with the Sports and Youth Services Department, Tourism Department, Start-Up Odisha and FICCI witnessed participation of over 30 start- ups, investors and industry experts from different parts of the country. The event took place on an exclusively curated platform of FICCI and the theme this year was ‘Sports, Tourism and Technology’. A National Innovation Challenge was also organised in association with Start-Up Odisha and AIC Nalanda.
Sport IT' 2020
XEBS CESM kicked off 2020 with a unique event, Sport IT 2020, India’s first sports and innovation festival. It comprised three elements – sports hackathon, sports marathon and a start-up-village. As many as 12 start-ups in the fields of sports echnology, nutrition, flow monitoring, site management, virtual reality and e-games participated in the festival. The Sports Marathon witnessed participation of high performance centres and sports associations of Odisha and over 1500 students including ifferently-abled children participated in the marathon. Sports Hackathon’ was organised in association with Start-up Odisha and Sports Unlimitech, the biggest sports and innovation festival in Europe, at XIMB with participation of 10 French students as well. Besides XEBS members, the event was graced by the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, State’s Sports and Youth Services Minister Tusharkanti Behera and other eminent dignitaries.
